Noah |
Boo 4 Cancer is one extraordinary 7-year-old's way of giving back to those that have given him so much
Noah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in the fall of 2007 when he was 5 years old.
Noah spent that first week at Children's Hospital in Aurora Colorado. That first week was tough. Noah underwent several surgeries,
one to install a titanium port in his chest where chemo drugs could be administered and blood taken, and several others to remove
bone marrow from his hip. Noah's parents don't remember him smiling a single time that first week. Since then, Noah and his family
have seen an outpouring of love and support from friends, families, charities, and even complete strangers. Noah is still on daily
chemotherapy and will be until he is almost 9.

2010 Garage Sale!
It's been a few months since we've updated our site, we are happy to report that Noah is doing well. We are sad to say that
we too have been hit by the downturn in the economy though and must leave the home and community we have grown to love. We will be relocating
to Washington state in June and Noah will be finishing his treatment in the Children's Hospital in Seattle. Before we go, however, Noah has expressed a
desire to throw one more charity bash garage/bake sale. This time he would like to
raise money for a friend that he met several months ago at another fundraiser. Ben, like Noah, is 8 years old, loves Super Mario Bros, and is fighting
cancer. Ben was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when he was 2 1/2 years old. Ben's cancer went into remission but came back last July. He is now
undergoing advanced treatment in both New York and Colorado and spends a lot of time in the hospital. This year, all the money we raise will be
donated to the Ben Brewer Fight Fund. The garage sale will be held at our home address: 3307 Chandon Way, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 on
May 27, 28, and 29. This will not be your normal garage sale! Come for the home baked treats, come for the piles of stuff, come to support a good cause.
We are also accepting donations from the community. Anything that is not sold at the garage sale will be subsequently donated to the DAV or other
similar local charity.

The Children's Hospital |
2009 Activities Noah's experiences have made him very aware of the power we all have to help
one another. In that spirit, this summer Noah decided that it was time to give something back to all those that have helped him
thereby helping out other children who like him are battling childhood cancer. It began with a charity garage sale that garnered some
media attention. The news stories that aired on the garage sale
spurred interest in the t-shirts that he had designed. To date Noah has sold over 800 t-shirts and raised over $12,000 for the three
charities that he has chosen:
The Gabby Krause Foundation
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado The
Children's Hospital Oncology Clinic
|
Gabby Krause Foundation |
All
of the money Noah raises is split between charities that he has selected. Thanks to the Texttonics
team, who has donated much of their time and resources to keeping costs down, and to Microsoft who
matches
each donation, every dollar spent on Noah's shirts results in an equal or greater amount being donated to help the fight against childhood cancer.
This
site is dedicated to both raising awareness of childhood cancer and
raising funds for organizations that have direct and often immediate
impact in the lives of those children who must fight this terrible
disease. We can all make a difference in the fight against cancer.

We raise money to fight childhood cancer. It's time we all scare cancer instead of letting it scare us.
